Welcome to the Hahnenkamm Races

Welcome to the Hahnenkamm Races
19.01.2016
On race days, ÖBB (Austrian National Railway) station “Kitzbühel-Hahnenkamm“ will be the main hub for alpine ski sports all over again. This marks the 20th anniversary of a collaboration between the Kitzbühel Ski Club (K.S.C.), host of the 76th Hahnenkamm Races (22nd to 24th January 2016), and the ÖBB, which enables fans to get to the event reliably and safely. The timetable has been extended for race days, so that over three times as many trains will operate on lines running through Kitzbühel. Moreover, by adding more carriages, there will be an extra 70,000 additional available seats in total. The ÖBB has a great offer for ski enthusiasts from all over Austria: the Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm “Kombiticket”. Customers can acquire a discounted train pass in combination with an entrance ticket to one of the races from all ÖBB ticket counters. Admission tickets are also available this year from ÖBB ticket machines all over Austria by selecting the “Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm-Rennen” option. Free Parking and Shuttle Service Free Hahnenkamm-Parking is available in Oberndorf/Tirol (coming from Salzburg/Munich) and Kichberg/Tirol (arriving from Innsbruck). From there, ski fans can take the ÖBB “Hahnenkamm-Shuttle”, leaving every 15 minutes, to Kitzbühel-Hahnenkamm train station and back. A large car park is also available at Kitzbühel South (20-minute walk to the Races) for those traveling from Pass Thurn. On race days, the Hahnenkamm Express will operate free of charge: Friday from 9 hrs (Super Combined), Saturday from 8 hrs (Downhill) and Sunday from 8.30 hrs (Slalom) between St. Johann in Tirol – Kitzbühel and Kirchberg in Tirol.
